- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup cooked sausage
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Pepper to taste
Turn your oven on to 375°F (190°C) so it’s ready to bake.
In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, diced onions, diced bell peppers, shredded cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise. Stir everything together until it’s well mixed. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle some flour on your counter. Take your pizza dough and roll it into rectangles or circles, depending on how you want to shape your pockets.
Put a spoonful of the sausage mixture in the middle of each piece of dough.
Fold the dough over the filling to cover it. Press the edges together to seal the pocket. You can use a fork to press the edges tighter if needed.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the top of each dough pocket.
Place the filled dough pockets on a baking sheet. Put them in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
Let the hot pockets cool for a few minutes, then enjoy them warm.
