Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or Fork
  • Measuring Cups & Spoons
  • Chef’s Knife & Cutting Board
  • Blender or food processor
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Buttermilk
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ tsp Onion Powder
  • cup Salsa Verde
  • Ground Black Pepper to your liking
  • cup Cilantro Leaves
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 Jalapeños
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Start by washing the jalapeños and cilantro leaves to remove any dirt.
  • Remove the stems from the jalapeños. If you prefer less heat, you can also remove the seeds.
  • In a blender or food processor, add the following: buttermilk, sour cream, mayonnaise, salsa verde, cilantro leaves, jalapeños, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and ground black pepper
  • Blend all the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and well combined. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little more buttermilk to thin it out.
  • Taste the sauce. If needed, you can add more salt, black pepper, or spices to suit your preference.
  • Transfer the green sauce to an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This helps the flavors mix well.
  • After chilling, your Jalapeno Tree Green Sauce is ready to serve! Use it as a dip or a condiment for your favorite dishes.
