Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 3 ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño seeded and finely chopped (optional for heat)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice about 1-2 limes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash with a fork until smooth but leave a few chunks for texture.
  • To the mashed avocado, add the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and minced garlic (if using).
  • Add the lime juice, and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Gently mix everything until well combined.
  • Adjust the seasoning by adding more lime juice, salt, or pepper as needed.
  • Serve your guacamole with pico de gallo immediately with tortilla chips, or use it as a topping for tacos, nachos, or burrito bowls.
